Legal Services Alabama is a non-profit organization. On February 1, 2004, Legal Services Corporation in Alabama, Legal Services of Metro Birmingham and Legal Services of North-Central Alabama merged to form the new statewide program Legal Services Alabama. It mainly serves low-income people in Anniston/Gadsden, Birmingham, Dothan, Huntsville, Mobile, Montgomery, Selma and Tuscaloosa County by providing legal services.
Legal Services Alabama takes care of legal services covering assistance with orders of protection, court accompaniment/advocacy, court/legal assistance by attorney and legal representation.
